Seeing Judy Collins Live
Sunday night I had the opportunity to photograph Judy Collins as she brought her farewell tour to Lafayette. She has been doing this a long time now, and it was amazing to see her during her final run of shows. She is 87 years old and put on an amazing show for someone half her age. Her stories in between songs were full of the history of folk music. She has rubbed elbows with the best, and if you went on Sunday night you got to see some folk music history.
Oakland Rain Opens Up The Show
Norwegian duo Oakland Rain opened the night with a very fun set. They had a lot of energy and set a good tone for the night. Part of the fun of covering these shows is finding new artists to listen to. I feel like I saw Oakland Rain open up the show the other night, but down the road I will get to see them headline.
