Waiting For The Right Moment

I really liked the look of the Milwaukee library. I had this photo framed up, but I just needed something else in the frame. This person walking in front of it kind of gives it scale which I like. This is one of the cooler libraries that I have visited, and has an ornate look that you just don’t see anymore. I walked by this spot twice. On the way to my location I made some photos. On the way back I waited for a moment like this one. I am glad that I waited the second time to make this image.

Remembering Dolly

The flags were at half mast for Dolly Parton while I was in Milwaukee. I tried to use that as much as I could in my photos. I talk often when making photos of making the most out of something bad. While we all mourn Dolly it gave me a chance to include the flag in the photo in a way that it is not normally at. It would normally be partially out of this frame in the photo. I like that things are more compact here.
