The Modern 41 Motel

On our way home from Milwaukee we stopped to eat with family at a restaurant in Franklin, Wisconsin. As we pulled into the parking lot I immediately saw the motel next door and knew that I would be there making photos. This is such a classic sign that I wanted to work it into a few photos. I worked it in with the building, but I kind of like this photo of it all on its own as well.

Roadside Sign Week

One of my favorite things about traveling is seeing a sign on the road so cool that you stop to make a photo of it. Back in the day there were many more of these to grab your attention. Now they are a little plainer and they don’t look as great. This week I plan on looking at a few of the signs that I have stopped to make photos of over the last couple of years.
