Photographing A Comedy Show

This is the first comedy show that I have photographed. I was there for another purpose than the actual show, but I had five minutes of show time to make photos. I have really enjoyed making live photos at events like this. It is just different enough from sports to really feel new. I really didn’t need the whole five minutes to make my photos. Comedy is pretty straightforward to photograph. I used part of that time to make wider images like the one above. It ended up being my favorite photo of the night.

I really only get a couple of spots to make photos in this venue. For the most part they don’t lend themselves to the best photos. There are things in the way in front and in the back of the frame that are not very photogenic. My favorite photos from shows are always these wide photos. This is an amazing venue, and it is always fun to show it off some.
