A Historic Part Of The Milwaukee Skyline

The transmission tower on top of the Milwaukee Hilton is an iconic part of the Milwaukee skyline. It was built in 1953 and is taller than the building that it sits on. In fact the 350 foot plus tower makes this building the tallest structure in Milwaukee. Here in the morning it looked really cool while I was out on my walk.

When It All Comes Down

For the last couple of years this tower has been slated to be removed. Logistics have delayed that process. I am glad that it stuck around a while longer so that I could make some photos of it. It also made it very easy to find my hotel on my walk. I was in a town that I am not familiar with, but I just had to find this tower and walk towards it.
