The Old Stallard & Schuh Building In Lafayette

I love this old building for some reason. It definitely needs some work, but it has anchored this corner in Lafayette for a long time now. It just has a classic look to it that they don’t make today. With the light this good on it I had to make a photo. This is a building that for a while I had on my list of buildings to photograph. There was always something in front of it or blocking part of the frame. Lately though I have had good luck when it comes to photographing it. Hopefully someone makes this building into something special again.

When The Light Is Right

I was outside of a restaurant downtown having a midwest goodbye with family when I saw the light kissing off this building. At first I tried to ignore it, but with no cars in front of the building this was the perfect time to make a photo. I walked over to make my photo and then came back to finish the goodbye. This is why I always have a camera with me.
