Getting A Chance At Indiana State
It is funny how things work out. I was kind of looking for a place to make photos when just for fun I asked to photograph an Indiana State game. At the time I had no motives other than to make photos where Larry Bird used to play. By pure chance I photographed them on a fun run in the MVC Basketball Tournament in March, and then photographed the MVC Baseball tournament that year that ISU hosted. That started a fun run of making photos in Terre Haute and anywhere else where Indiana State played. They gave me a chance to be a sort of team photographer for a couple of years. I learned so much doing in those couple of years that I could never have learned just making photos on my own. It was a great chance that I will always be grateful for. I made this photo just because I was in town too early on this day. It wasn’t until today writing this that I realized that my photos were on the building at the time. It was really neat to be able to put my mark on ISU athletics for a little while.
50 For 50
This is going to be a crazy theme. For the next fifty days I plan on posting a photo of a place that has some meaning to me. Last August I came up with a theme for a week showing some Purdue memories. At the end of this fifty days I will turn fifty. I thought that it would be fun to take a look back at some places that bring back memories for me. This can’t be an all inclusive list, but one that I hope will be fun for you as well as me.
