The Falcons

The LaPorte Falcons

This was a place to be back in the day. The Falcons was a club that you had to pay dues to be able to get into. You would say your name at the intercom at the door and get buzzed in. When the buzzer sounded everyone turned to see who was coming in. Some bartenders would announce who they were buzzing in. This is the place where my parents might have first seen each other. This is a common theme on this countdown, but a lot of memories were made inside of this building. Things that kids would never understand today. Just how much fun it was to pull all the knobs on the big cigarette machine. It was a kid with ADHD’s dream.

50 For 50

This is going to be a crazy theme. For the next fifty days I plan on posting a photo of a place that has some meaning to me. Last August I came up with a theme for a week showing some Purdue memories. At the end of this fifty days I will turn fifty. I thought that it would be fun to take a look back at some places that bring back memories for me. This can’t be an all inclusive list, but one that I hope will be fun for you as well as me.
