Seeing Jack Johnson Again In Person

This year for the 4th we did something a little different. We went down to Ruoff to see Jack Johnson. For a couple of days it looked like it could rain during the show, but on the day of the rain was taken out of the forecast. That is when I got worried. We were in line to get into the venue when lightning was too close to the venue and we had to go back to our cars. A couple of hours later we got the all clear and we could go into the venue. We got to see Jack Johnson, but just a little later then we thought that we would. The rain stayed away the rest of the show, and we were able to see an entire set by Jack. He put on a great show, and we even got to see him score a bit of an old surf movie.

Post Concert Fireworks

After the show we saw a firework show that was really good. When the first round of it ended I was happy. Most post event fireworks are short. This one just kept going though. In fact they were still going long after the show. I didn’t photograph the whole show, but I did have some fun early on.

Using The Sony Point And Shoot

This is my second concert in a row as a fan. I am starting to realize that it is really hard for me to just watch a show. I had my trusted Sony point and shoot at this show. I had some fun making a few photos with it, but I am starting to realize that I would love to photograph a couple of shows from the pit soon.
