The house above is the one where 250 years ago Thomas Jefferson was busy drafting the Declaration Of Independence. It must have been an intense pressure going to this house to write something so important. In Jefferson’s own words he didn’t expect it to last very long. Here we are 250 years later celebrating his amazing document.

When Things Come Together

I have always loved history. Maybe it is because I was born during the bicentennial year. Everyone put importance on that year over the years. I would get a 1976 two dollar bill at birthdays by various family members. I have always loved learning about history though and this was kind of amazing to walk around where it all kind of started for our country.
