The Full Moon Over LaPorte
This was part of an unplanned/planned photoshoot of the moon rising over LaPorte last year. I say it that way because I only planned things out just before heading out to make the photo. I planned where to go, but at the last minute. Usually my line up photos are planned well in advance. This one kind of just happened. I had some photos of the moon and the courthouse close up, but I decided for one to pan back a bit and show off the trees and the sunset. I like the other photos much better, but this one also works for me.
Planning More Photos
A couple of weekends ago while in Warsaw I realized too late that the moon was perfect for photography. I watched it rise out of our hotel window and knew that I had missed a shot. The softball trips can get busy where I don’t think about those photos very much. I would like to plan more of these shots again. Most of my photography is not planned. Sports is a place where you just react to what is happening. I make my road photos very similarly. I want to see the towns fresh as I enter them. A planned shot that works though is one that really can be nice. I need to come up with a grand idea and try this again.
