The White County Courthouse In Monticello, Indiana
This courthouse is not as grand as the other that I have shown this week. In 1974 a tornado ripped through Monticello, and the courthouse was a victim of the storm. This courthouse was built in its place. It is probably more functional inside than most courthouses because of this, but on the outside it is not much to look at.
Courthouse Week
This week I am looking at a few courthouses that I have seen over the years. You can tell a lot about the town by the courthouse square. I have had some fun traveling over the past couple of years finding the courthouses and the best way to photograph them. This week I will be taking a look at five of them that I like.
