The LaPorte Civic Auditorium

The Civic in LaPorte is a place for nearly anything in town. The building holds an annual basketball tournament that is nationally televised. I used to play pickup basketball here. What I know it for more than basketball though is a gathering place. When my church had its 75th anniversary celebration we held it as the Civic. Prom was here. Post prom was in the basement. I don’t know if they still do this, but it was a great place to hold prom. On my way out of town I made this photo of the Civic with the last fall leaves on the trees.

A Different Week

This week I won’t have a theme in the afternoons. I just didn’t have anything ready or any thought of what the theme would be. This week will just be a couple of posts a day. They may seem a bit random, but that is kind of what this blog is about anyway.
