Watching Zach Medler Work Again
Part of the fun of watching the artists paint the walls during the Wabash Walls festival was meeting new people. One of the artists thought I had watched paint nearly ten years earlier. Zach Medler was painting the shed at my daughters preschool. It really was amazing watching him turn that shed into a piece of art. For a couple of days during the festival Zach finished off part of the alley that he had started painting as part of small spaces in 2014. It was pretty cool seeing him get to finally see the end to a project from so many years ago. On the two days that Zach was painting the project had more artists painting than any of the other days. I didn’t get to spend as much time with him as I would have liked. He is local though so I hope that I can get to see him paint again.
The Hardest Part Of Wabash Walls
The hardest part of the Wabash Walls project was not making photos over the two weeks that the artists were here. The hard part has been writing these posts for each artist. It is hard to take two weeks and turn them into a couple of paragraphs. I have been holding off on these posts for that reason. I think that this story is more of a photo story though so this week I decided to just write them all. At the end you will see the photo story which really is what this was about.
