Sunset At The Grain Elevator

Sunset At The Grain Elevator

I was passing through Wolcott, Indiana a couple of weeks ago after a softball game when the sky was really lighting up. It was a good sunset that lasted a little while letting me make multiple photos with the sky and a few features of the town in them. I really wanted one photo of the town which was the first photo that I posted shortly after my visit. I was turning my car around to make a photo when I saw the photo above. I liked the idea of this old house and the grain bins up against that sky. It was not the photo that I had in mind, but it was too good of a photo to pass up.

Seeing Things New

Over ten years ago I made a trip to this town during the photo 365 portion of this blog. I was desperate for new things to photograph away from Lafayette. Back then I passed right by this old house because it was not beautiful to me then. Now I have come to appreciate these kinds of photos more. I am glad that I had a second crack at this little town.
