Finally Seeing The New String Lights In Downtown Lafayette

Last week they put the finishing touches on the new string lights in downtown Lafayette. I had been meaning to get up there to photograph them, but I never got the chance. Last night I made it up there in time for blue hour to make a few photos. This whole area has been in the news a bit lately. The string lights area  big deal, and the old GOAT Tavern on the corner has been bought by the city. It was a good spot to make my first photo of the night.

Getting Out There Again

I have been making more action photos than anything lately. Softball takes up a bunch of my time, and I have been trying to get out to see the spring migration when I can as well. It was nice to have a good old fashioned session where I try and find some good angles of a new subject. With all of the rainy, overcast days I have not felt like getting out there. This week the goal is to make some small town photos on a couple of softball road trips that I will be on.
