Taking A Walk Down Ferry Street
A while back while my little one was in a theatre class I went for a walk downtown with my wife. Most of the time my photography can be a solitary thing. It is something that I do on my own. When I make photos with someone else in my family the photos tend to mean more to me for some reason. This entire walk was a fun one as we explored a couple of blocks that I had never walked before. On the way back to the theatre I made this photo on a road that I have driven a few times. This time while walking it I realized that this would be an interesting photo.
The Godman—Stwallery House
There are some amazing old houses in Lafayette. I am sure that there is a great history behind them all. Here I just know a name of the house and the year it was built. This is the Godman—Stwallery House. It was a built in 1865. Think about that. The Civil War was just ending, and this house was going up. It is always fun to go for a walk and also take a walk back in time. One of these days I will learn a little more about these houses so that I can share what I am sure is a cool history behind them.
