Making A Photo Quickly

This morning I had a couple of errands to run before I had to get back home. The light was only going to be good for a short period of time so I decided to take my camera and make a photo on my trip. The irony of the photo above is that it was blue hour and the color photo looks much better than this black and white one does. I had this idea when I was driving though so I stayed with it. I will put the black and white below for you to see. I have run into that a couple of times so far in this project. The great blue hour light in the morning is hard to pass up.

Thinking About This Challenge

I have challenged myself to plan and make a black and white photo everyday this month. I came up with that idea a couple of weeks ago. Of course in that couple of weeks things happened that showed me that maybe that was not the best idea. I think that the challenge will still be to make a photo and think about the light and composition that would make a good black and white photo every day. That is a great exercise. The change will be that I don’t have to post that photo to the blog. What I quickly learned in the photo 365 challenge was that somedays you make a crappy photo. I want to have some leeway on a busy day to fail at my idea. I still plan on posting at least one black and white photo a day to the blog, but it may just not be from that day. I do plan on making enough this month to cover the blog though. A couple of good walks at night would go a long way towards keeping posts on this blog.
