Walking Downtown Lafayette In A Light Rain

Saturday we had a fun afternoon. We saw a matinee performance of Footloose at the Lafayette Civic Theatre. It was a good show as they all have been. We grabbed a bite to eat downtown afterwards, and then the rain came. We made our way back to our car when the rain slowed down a bit. Despite the weather downtown was looking pretty good. As we walked I kept stopping to make photos. This one was a fun one. I had the courthouse all alone, but by waiting just a bit I had three different groups walk into the scene. I think that added to the photo a bit.

Taking A Walk

This year one of my goals is to get out and just walk around more. Things like this are great, and you don’t see them if you don’t get out there. When possible everyday I would like to pick out a spot to walk and make photos. I have started parking farther away from things just to have the walk to get there. It is a small thing that benefits me in multiple ways.
