Santa Helps Deliver Harrison A Rivalry Win

Harrison wins A Hard Fought Battle Against Lafayette Jeff

Last night Harrison and Lafayette Jeff played a game that went down to the wire. It was the kind of game that you want to see two rivals play against each other. Lots of emotion, and even a little back and forth. At the half it looked like it would be all Harrison, but to their credit Jeff came storming back to take the lead at one point. This was a fun game to cover, and the fact that Santa showed up during his busy season let me know just how big of a game it really was. The Santa appearance also let this become a Christmas post which is awesome.

The Remote Camera For The Win

When I put a remote at my feet I never know what I am going to get from it. Most of the time I have one or both of a refs feet in my frames. Here I really lucked out to make this image of Alonzo Clawson-Smith going to the basket. The remote made one of my favorite images from the night. Above you can see what my camera saw vs the remote. I like both of them, but in a gallery the wide angle really gives you a sense of place.

Working For The J&C

Last night I was making photos for the Journal and Courier. The last couple of days were my first two freelance assignments for them. This last year I had a couple of cameras and lenses go down, and because of that this winter I have had to focus on paid gigs more than ever. Harrison is a gym where I have made many photos over the years, but this is the first time I had ever been paid to do so. Hopefully this relationship grows a little and I can keep working with them. It was fun to go into May Gymnasium with a different assignment. You can see my gallery from the game here.
