Having A Tough Time With LomoChrome Color ’92
I have been having a tough time finding the right use for LomoChrome Color ’92. I had heard good things about it so when it came available I bought four rolls of it in case it sold out again. For some reason though I just have not found the right use for it. Some of that may be me. Even when I use a film preset in Lightroom for regular photos I will take the grain out of them. The grain in this film is pretty strong. When I was on campus making photos I remember thinking that I wish that I had my camera loaded with something else. This area would have looked great on Portra or even better some CineStill 800t. I have a roll of this film left so I need to find a way to use it creatively.
More With LomoChrome Color ’92
Below are a few photos from this roll of Color ’92. Like I said above I wished that I had used something else for this part of my walk. As I write this I have just finished another roll of this film. I put it in my Canon point and shoot and set the ISO to 200. A little more light might help, and maybe that point and shoot photo might look good on this film. I hope that it helps. I have found that I want to convert all of the photos to black and white. If I am going to do that though I might as well use a cheaper film that is already black and white. I am not dogging this film. I just don’t know how to use it for what I like to do. I love that there is a company out there making new film. Maybe I can find a way to use the color and the grain to my advantage in the future.
