The Warren County Courthouse

Photographing The Warren County Courthouse

Friday afternoon when coming home from Indiana State I took a new route home. For years I had travelled the same road, but I decided to try something new. As I pulled into Williamsport I saw the dome of this courthouse and decided to check it out. I have been to this town a few times before. I was usually heading to the potholes and I would stop and see the waterfall. For some reason this cool old courthouse had escaped me. A little wind helped me see the American flag out front, and I suddenly had a fun photo. It is more of a snapshot, but with an old courthouse like this I like those the best.

Photos From The Road

In the old days I was always on the road it seemed. I loved the little side trips on the way that let me see these little towns. This year I have been back out a bit more than I have been, and I have been having fun checking out some of the little towns along the way. One of these weeks when things are a little slow I may have a week dedicated to some of these images. I have been watching some videos on William Eggleston and photographers like him lately. I have always loved these little looks at things that we would normally pass by. I would like to spend more time this year looking for the little things, and finding ways to photograph them.
