Did Phil See His Shadow?

I went for a walk at the Celery Bog on Groundhog Day looking for a groundhog to see just how much more winter we will be having. I had no luck with the groundhog, but this squirrel was happy to play the part. The squirrel saw its shadow so we have six more weeks of winter coming up. I wouldn’t mind it so much if we could just get some snow for snokeh.

Walking The Celery Bog

This is my first Celery Bog post of the year. I have been a few times, but it wasn’t until the 2nd day of February when I finally pressed the shutter button on my camera. Until then it was pretty boring. I actually have this crazy superstition where I should make my first photo of the year of Ruby the resident screech owl. She was out so I was able to make my photo and start my walk. Here are a few bonus photos from my walk at the bog.
