Christmas At The Purdue Memorial Union

Last night I went down to the Purdue Union to make some photos. Things have been busy, and I have not had a chance to make my annual Christmas tree photo there yet. When I saw this view though I knew that I had the post for today. I loved all of the lights on the Purdue hedges. I don’t remember this happening in recent memory. It really adds to this section of campus.

Going Black And White

I usually use black and white far less for my Christmas photos. Here though the sky was black and the lights were white so it only made sense to just convert the rest of the photo. I don’t know why I feel this way, but I think that you can overexpose the photo a little when you know that you are making a black and white image. That makes those starbursts on the Christmas lights a little brighter.
