Walking In The Lafayette Christmas Parade Again

This is the second year in a row where my daughter has walked in the Lafayette Christmas parade with her girl scout troop. In the past we would stake out a nice spot and watch the parade go by. This blog would be more of a document of the parade for that day. Now that we walk in it I usually only make photos of a few floats as they go by our staging location. This year we were in the same spot as last year, and the blue hour sky was great again. Some of those early floats looked great set against the last light of the day.

This was a fun year walking in the parade. It is amazing how much my little one has grown in the past year. She was very timid to start things off last year. This year she was great interacting with the kids as she was handing out candy. I was a proud dad watching her walk down that route last night handing out candy canes. In a million years I would never walk down that route for myself. I don’t like being the center of attention. For her though I walked the majority of the route backwards making images of her. A couple of my favorite photos are at the bottom of the post.
