A Little After Dinner Treat

Last night we had a great dinner at the Purdue Memorial Union with some friends. During our dinner we had a little rain come down, but nothing too terrible. Of course I had driven separately to dinner as there was a possibility of thunderstorms later and I wanted to photograph them coming in. The thunderstorms never came, but the clouds parted just in time for the sunset. As we parted after dinner I quickly grabbed my gear and ran up to the top of the parking garage to watch the show. The show did not last long, but it was an amazing one. It was a great way to end a very fun night.

Becoming A Regular

At this point I feel like I am becoming a regular at this spot. I have been posting photos from the top of this parking garage quite a bit over the last week or so. I don’t like to repeat myself or make the same photo over and over again, but with the sun setting this was my best option with little time. It was a great option as well. I really did make a resolution to not photograph the clock tower so much this year. It is so iconic though that when the conditions are right you kind of have to photograph it. In the coming weeks though I am going to challenge myself to find other details on campus to photograph. Hopefully that little exercise can help me see something new.
