A Quick Lunch

A Bald Eagle Grabs A Quick Lunch

Last week I was down by the Wabash River hoping for an eagle sighting. This time of the year eagles can be in the trees in great numbers so you just need one in the air to get a few in the air. On this day though no eagles were to be seen. Out of nowhere though I could see an eagle high above circling its way down. It had spotted something in the water so it was diving down fairly quickly to get it. The eagle missed the fish on the first attempt, but grabbed its meal on the second attempt. You can see the full sequence below.

While waiting for the eagles to show up I was practicing on the other birds flying around. I even had a crow grab a fish fairly close to me. Here are my other favorite photos from the day.
