Spending Another Fun Night At Loeb Stadium
Last night I was back in Loeb Stadium for another game featuring the Aviators. Unlike the last couple of nights the weather cooled off as the game went on, and it ended up being a perfect night for baseball.
Sliding In
Sometimes things work out for you. When Allbry Major smacked a ball into the gap I was blocked as he was running to second. The photographer in me was hoping that he would try for a triple, and I lucked out when he made the turn. I made some photos of running towards me, but it was this great slide that was the star of the night. A little swim move to avoid the tag left me feeling very lucky. Not getting blocked was also amazing here.
The Little Things
This was one of my favorite photos of the night. You can see how these two kids are hanging on his every word. Sometimes we forget just how much these players can be looked up to. When I was small I remember looking at the local high school football players like they were pros. When I played it always cracked me up because I was so bad. Kids did not know that though so every interaction was cool to them. Being at the end of the dugout I get to hear some of these conversations.
More Photos From The Game
Here is a link to my gallery that I posted earlier today. I will be at tonight’s game, but with my family so I probably won’t be as dialed in for photos. The cameras will be there though because you never know what will happen.
