Bribing The Blue Jays In

One of my favorite birds to photograph is the blue jay. They don’t always like to get too close though. They are very shy and my normal seed just isn’t up to their taste. They used to just spend their time acting like hawks to scare all of the other birds away. I started putting some peanuts out for them though and now they seem a little happier. Look at the blue jay above. Doesn’t it look like it is smiling?
