The Purdue Bell Tower Turns 25

Twenty Five Years Of The Purdue Bell Tower

Today marks twenty five years since the Purdue bell tower was dedicated. I cannot imagine this campus without the iconic tower at its center. I try at times to walk through campus without making a photo of the bell tower. I feel that I do it too much. When something tells a story with just its presence though you have to include it in some photos. On Twitter today I made a point to post a few photos of the bell tower to commemorate the day.

All That I Know

I had an interesting talk with my wife about this tower last night. The first time that I ever set foot on campus was when Purdue and Northwestern played football in November of 1995. To me this bell tower has always been there. I will have more on that football game in a few days, but it is interesting to me how to some people who have lived here for a while this is still a newer thing. To me it is a landmark that has always been there.
