The Sunset Train

This train came at the right time. I was waiting for fireworks to go off over the town of Brookston when I heard the horn. I quickly panned over knowing that it would be a good opportunity to make a picture. It was an amazing sky that you only seem to get on stormy nights so it really lit up.

Stormy Nights Make For Good Sunsets

For a couple of nights in a row around the 4th of July a storm rolling in around sunset made for an amazing sky. Usually I am not out at those times because of the threat of rain, but when it works out it is totally worth it. The colors that you get after a storm cannot be beaten. I need to make a point to get out and photograph sunsets like this more often.
