When Does Baseball Begin?

There is a point every year where I just want some warm nights and baseball again. We are actually way past that point. In fact we are so far past that point that even this picture of Wrigley Field looks good to me. There is something about being at the ballpark that is amazing. As I have said a few times it has been a while since I was last at a MLB park. In fact my last trip was to Chicago just a few weeks before the Cubs won the World Series. That has to change this year.

Going Wide

I really need to think like this more often. Three is this thing when you start photographing sports where you want to capture every moment. If you miss something then you are mad that you did. At some point though you realize that the moment can be captured anywhere. Here I like the pulled back look to show the crowd watching the game. As I think about photographing baseball this summer I need to include some of these sense of place shots in my galleries.
