The Marilyn Monroe Statue In Chicago
I made this photo six years ago while walking through Chicago. Just down the road from my hotel was this great statue of Marilyn Monroe. The way the sun was bouncing off the building in the back was very cool. Heading back to Chicago this weekend I was thinking about things that I want to do when I have a little free time. It is always great to be back in Chicago, and little things that you are not expecting to find often seem to be my favorite photos.
Going Back Into The Archive
Every now and then it is fun to go and find a photo that I haven’t processed yet in the archive. In 2014 my computer crashed, and I started my Lightroom catalog over. These older photos are still around, but not as easy to access. It is fun to go back and find something and process it. My style has changed quite a bit since 2012, and that is a good thing. This would have been a low contrast, high color photo back then. I like this look much more.
