Another Lake Freeman Sunset
Every year we find ourselves at Lake Freeman around the 4th of July. This year was no different. I spent most of my day there yesterday, and I will again today. Last night before I made the trek back to West Lafayette I stepped out onto the deck to make this photo. The sun was just starting to go down into the clouds, and I thought that it was a perfect way to end the day.
What Could Have Been
The clouds the sun was looking to go down behind were thick, and I thought that the show was over. Of course I was dead wrong, and it was an amazing sunset. I really should have stuck around, but I had to get back home. Several times on the trip home I was tempted to stop and make a photo. I never did though, and as I walked in the door to the purple sky behind me I realized that I should have found a spot to camp at until the sun went down. Sometimes you predict the sunset like a champ, and sometimes you end up the chump.
