Seeing Jack Johnson Live

This concert kicks off our 2018 concert series. My wife and her sister always pick some interesting acts to see. Jack Johnson is one that I would not have picked off of a list. He is someone who I have heard for years. Whenever I take the kids to paint at All Fired Up here in town Jack Johnson usually is part of the music. For the first couple of years he seemed to be the only music playing there. He has some good songs, and he puts on a good show though. There are times like this when I am glad that I am not in charge of picking the concert list. That way I am pleasantly surprised by some acts.

Stitching It All Together

When the light is right I want my good equipment with me. Because of concert rules I had my Canon G16 with me that does not make a very wide image. When the light was about as good as it was going to get Thursday night I walked up to the top of the lawn seating to make an image. Not being able to get the whole scene into the image I decided to try a panoramic shot. The G16 is not a very fast camera so it makes it even more of a challenge as it takes about ten seconds to make all three images. Luckily Jack was not moving too much so you would never know.
