Checking Out the City Before Most People Are Awake
On my last day in Chicago I woke up early to make some photos. I started off in the hotel making photos of the historic Palmer House. My post a couple of days ago is one of those photos that I made that morning. I went out to make some photos of the city as the morning light was first hitting it. Here on Michigan Avenue I found this interesting scene. The golden light of the sun was just starting to hit the buildings on the left. I knew that I had something here, but I just needed one more thing to complete the scene. I waited for a bus to come by, and then pressed the shutter on my camera. I think that the little added motion of the bus makes this photo for me. I made a couple of photos that morning that I really liked. Sometimes it is worth it to wake up early when you are on a vacation. The beautiful morning light makes it all worthwhile.
