Rain Washes Out the Purdue vs. Indiana Softball Game
Yesterday I was shooting the Cincinnati Bearcats baseball game against Indiana. With the way that the schedule worked out I thought that I might be able to see Lilly Fecho set the Purdue single season strikeout record. Of course being the away team the Boilers would bat first, and they got off to a great start. Alyssa Koorsen pounded a triple off of the wall to start things off, and Mary Gooding walked to set up runners on the corners. We will never know what would have happened as the rain and hail started to come down during Ashely Burkhardt’s at bat. Close lightning strikes and hail were bad enough, but no tarp for the dirt infield sealed the fate of the game. This was the first time that I saw the Purdue softball team on the road though even though it was short lived.
Bonus Photos
I did manage to make a few images that I liked in the short time of the game yesterday. I put a few up on my website here, but you can just scroll down to see a couple that I liked. I will post photos from the baseball game that followed this game later.
