The Bronchos Beat the Red Devils 64-62

Last night the West Lafayette Red Devils tested my heart yet again with another close game. They seemed to be following the same blueprint to victory that they did last week in Frankfort. They gave up a nice lead only to go down late to the other team. A nice comeback would tie the game. It was not meant to be this week though. The third quarter has not been kind in the last few weeks to West Side. They play again at home on Thursday night so they don’t have to wait long to hit the court again.

Testing Out the Canon 50mm f/1.4

Yesterday I bought the Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens. I wanted to try it out so I took it to the game with the intention of just using it for a little bit. I stopped down to f/2 because of the available light in the gym. I had some early successes with the lens on my camera so I stuck with it. By the end of the game I had made most of my photos with it mounted on my Canon 5D Mark III. It was a good first outing with the lens. I will have more on it in the near future I am sure. I have a couple of ideas to test it out tomorrow.
