What Does the Fox Say?

Part of the fun of going to Wolf Park is finding new things. The new foxes that came last season were the highlight of my last trip. The main enclosure was in the process of being mowed so there was not much going on with the wolves. This fox was hiding from us, and then it would come out to see what we were up to. I caught it mid yawn knowing that it would look more menacing than a yawn. To me it looked like it was protecting the mouse at its feet that would end up being its dinner.

Technical Data

The fence that was in between the fox and I was really showing up a bit too much for me. The first thing that I did here was to increase the black slider in Lightroom. For some reason that usually really helps in this situation. I also applied the sports game day preset by Matt Kloskowski to the image. This is not a sport picture by any stretch, but I knew that it would start me off in the right direction. From there it was just a matter of tweaking a few sliders to make the image the way that I remembered it.
