Photo of the Day
Here is another photo taken from a magical sunset out in Colorado last year. I love how the sun sets in the mountains. The last bits of light dance off of the various peaks as if to give them one last bit of attention during the day. Here just the tip of Nipple Peak is illuminated by the sun. I love how it highlights it, and so I switched from a wide view to shoot this with my 70-200mm lens. When I am out in this part of the country I usually focus my camera on Hahn’s Peak. Every now and then though the camera will find something else of interest.
Technical Data
For this photo I wanted to show just how majestic the blue hour can be in Colorado. The sky reflects off of everything making it a really special time of day. It also makes the little bit of sunlight hitting the peak that much more impressive. I used the HDR in Lightroom preset to start off, and then I went to work making some minor adjustments to the sliders to get the look that I wanted.
What a stunning photo :O 🙂
Thank you!
Love it
Thank you
Beautiful work. I do in fact like the previous one a bit more, for its inclusion of the town below, and overall effect. Both, however, are stunning. M
Thank you. I actually feel the same way.
