Photo of the Day
While I had the 5D Mark III I tried out all of my lenses on it. I even pulled out the 50mm f/1.8 lens that I have not used in some time. It used to be my go to lens in low light, but I have found others that I like better since then. I wondered how it would act on the 5D. The bigger sensor really allowed me to use all of the lens now. I think that it really is a great lens when used with the proper camera. I needed a test subject, and with nobody else home I had to find something. That was when I saw my dog Bingo in the backyard rolling around. He didn’t notice me at first, but then he stopped and gave me a weird look. Of course that is when my shutter fired resulting in the picture above.
Technical Data
I used a Matt Kloskowski preset called HDR Black and White on this photo. I thought that it really brought out the details in an interesting way. After a couple of minor slider adjustments this photo was ready to go.
It is indeed a nice image.
