Here is another picture from my brother’s house on his birthday weekend. As I said in a post a few days ago the sunsets look like they have been amazing there, but on the day I was there the clouds did not show up. I tried to make the best of it by capturing the light through some objects on his property. There were some very large grasses on the back half of his ground that really caught me eye. The only problem was that the portion I wanted to photograph was too tall for me to get to. I ended up in the plant in order to shoot through this one lower portion. In the end I think it turned out okay.

Technical Data

Because the grasses were blowing in the wind I knew that HDR was really not an option here. I just took an exposure in manual mode that looked good on the LCD. In Lightroom I just performed a minor highlight and shadow adjustment. The photo was basically made in camera.
