Photo of the Day
This is a photo that was taken in January at the Michigan City lighthouse. I only had a short time on one day to make some pictures. The sky and conditions don’t always work in your favor. I have always wanted to make pictures of the lighthouse covered in ice, but the conditions were not right that day. Maybe I can get away long enough next winter to make it happen.
Technical Data
With the ultra bright sky the only way to show anything was to apply a filter in Lightroom. I used a Trey Ratcliff preset called HDR in Lightroom – Daytime Too Bright. I also darkened the exposure a bit. The preset helped save a picture with an ugly sky.
