Photo of the Day
When I was in Milwaukee one thing that I really wanted to check out was the Art Museum by the lake. The way that it looked in pictures with the wings open was amazing. I knew that we were headed to the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum so I would be right next door. I was excited as we drove past the museum as the wings were out, and it looked great. By the time I got out to see it though it had closed up. It was not nearly as exciting, but it was still a striking look on the waterfront. It might be a good thing that it was closed as I would have spent way too much time photographing it, and we would have been late the rest of the day. This just gives me yet another reason to head back to Milwaukee.
With this photo I did not do much to it. The grey snow clouds were not very interesting so I decided that this should be in black and white. I used the strong black and white HDR preset from Matt Kloskowski to achieve this. Once I clicked on that I just made a minor exposure correction, and I was done. I like it when they are this easy.
