Photo of the Day
This photo represents a lot of freedom for me at the time. I was working in supervision at the time with very little time for myself. I was usually stuck in a small Iowa town with nothing to do. One weekend in June changed that for me. I spent one day in Knoxville, Iowa watching these beautiful World of Outlaw cars perform their magic on the track. The next day I went to the final game of the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. It was a great weekend, and I am glad that I was able to share some of that on this blog. This shot is almost nine years old, but it represents a good weekend for me.
With the events of the past week this picture is also very relevant. This was part of Tony Stewarts first crack as an owner. He was very successful with Danny Lasoski in the World of Outlaws series. Now he has a car on the pole for Daytona with two other very strong cars. It was very nice to be able to see the beginning of this up close.
Here was a shot that was taken with a point and shoot nearly nine years ago. I really did not want to do much to it or I would have lost some of the integrity of the shot. The camera really did do a great job with the colors so my job was easy there. I did move a couple of sliders a little though to give this shot some grit. With these cars that is something that you need to see. This was an easy shot to edit.
