Photo of the Day
As I have said before this week I will be in Colorado so I have some posts lined up from previous vacations so that this website does not sit this week. I took this picture in 2009 when we were in Daytona to see the Daytona 500. We went down to the beach to get a look at the ocean. I looked up on the pier and saw the scene that you see above. I kind of liked the way that the man in the captain hat appeared to be teaching the other two.
Technical Data
I had originally edited this shot using Topaz Adjust 5. I did not like the way it made the shot look though so I started over in Lightroom. I used the light sports preset as a starting point, and went to work from there. For the most part this was just a case of adjusting sliders until the shot was where I wanted it. I did take the shot from a landscape to a portrait. That actually improved the picture I believe.
