Photo of the Day
Today I thought that I would post a picture that I took last year on Christmas Eve. I had just taken some cool pictures at the LaPorte County Museum, and just outside of that is the barn that is most associated with LaPorte. I gave it a few tries, but I really didn’t like the results with no clouds in the sky. With some new editing techniques at my hands I decided to give it another try to see what would happen. I really liked the results, so the picture finally ends up on the site after almost a year.
Technical Data
This picture was just lacking something as a jpeg. I didn’t know any kind of editing by HDR, and that made the scene look a bit too fake. I took that file, and ran it through Lightroom to see if I could make something look a bit easier on the eyes. I first ran my preset that I called Quick Portrait. That is a toned down version of the sports presets that I have been using. Then I just adjusted the sliders to taste. It is still a bit overdone, but I really like the look.
