iPhone Picture of the Week
Today I will actually include an iPhone shot for the iPhone post. A novel idea wouldn’t you say? Last weekend we attended the late performance of the Purdue Christmas Show. Our bus got to the Elliot Hall of Music a bit early so we went for a quick stroll around the campus. We went to the clock tower to take yet another look at it. We have been there quite a bit, but it always impresses at night. While we were playing I looked up and realized that this would make a pretty good shot. I pulled out my phone, and took the picture. I am glad that I did.
This one was fun to edit. I took the picture using the Camera+ app on my phone. I had a shot all set to go today using just the tools inside of that app when I realized that Snapseed issued an update today. They now are partnered with Google so I wanted to see what the app could do. The first thing that I noticed was that the app was now free to those who want it. I paid for it, but that doesn’t mean that you have to too if you don’t have it. It is a very good app that was worth the money when I paid for it. It is a must when it is free. I picked the dramatic preset to start with, and took the saturation all the way down to zero to get rid of the color. Then I upped the strength of the preset to get this infrared look. I really like how this shot came out.
