Photo of the Day
While in California this year I went for an early morning drive in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Nestled in the foothills was the small town of Georgetown. The town had a great look that I really liked, and I found a couple of really great older trucks sitting behind a building. My trip that morning was to see some things that I would not otherwise so I pulled over to make a picture of the trucks. What I did not know is what they were behind. At the time I just thought that it was a Jeep building, but as I researched a bit for this post I realized that it was the USA headquarters for Jeep Jamboree. I have a few more pictures from this town that I will share here, and hopefully next year I can get some more.
Technical Data
This was a three shot HDR processed in Photomatix Pro. At the time I was doing all of my processing just in Photomatix so I didn’t think that anything else should have been done to this photo. Before posting it thought I brought it into the develop module of Lightroom to see if I could improve it a bit. I did some things to make it look better, but I ended up using one of Matt Kloskowski’s Sports presets for Lightroom on it. I really liked the look it gave the truck so I was done editing it.
