Flashback Photo
I am fairly active on Google+, and last week I started something on Friday called #FlashbackFriday. I chose the picture of Sammy Sosa breaking his bat in 2000. I thought that it was the tipping point to when this camera thing started to pick up some momentum. Today I chose this picture for a couple of reasons. The first is of course the huge deal that Drew Brees just signed. Reportedly it is a 5 year deal for $100 million. I could never imagine making that kind of money. The second is that this may be the second picture that really made me stop and take notice. I used to just take pictures to show that I was somewhere. In 2000 I started to take pictures to capture moments. I love this picture of Drew Brees passing to Vinny Sutherland. It captured a great moment in time during a record day at Ross-Ade Stadium. I think that I will keep up this tradition for a while of posting a picture from way back. In the future when this project is over I will still post a picture a day, but most likely they will all be from a dSLR. The old grainy pictures will be saved for Friday. Sadly I shot sports most of the time so it will be a sports heavy segment.
